CHHS FFA Students Bring Home Ag Mechanics Awards
Several Chapel Hill FFA students competed at the San Antonio Ag Mechanics show Feb. 22-23. The following students brought home awards as a result of their hard work:
Jose Netro and Joel Perez (Cattle Squeeze Chute) - Blue ribbon and 3rd place in class
Ryleigh Stegall (Quail Pen) - Blue ribbon
Rikki Roach (Lamb Rail) - Red ribbon
Carlos Juarez (Tree Shear) - Blue ribbon
Tanner Luck and Colby Eubanks (20 Foot Bumper Pull Trailer) - Blue ribbon
Chelsey Hodges (10 Foot Bumper Pull Trailer) - Red ribbon

Ratliff advances to National Speech and Debate Tournament
After speaking for 14 hours on Thursday, 10 hours on Friday, and 8 hours on Saturday, CHHS senior Sara Ratliff was named one of 5 students (out of 87) to advance to the national contest in Student Congress! She is also the NFL's district alternate (3rd out of 32) in Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking and placed 9th over-all (out of 28) in LD Debate.
The national tournament will be held the second week of June, and Sara will do three days of preliminary congress, two days of semi-final congress, and a final day of SUPER-CONGRESS during that week.
Congratulations, Sara, on a job well done!
